Location of Carpenter Village, NC

Carpenter Village is one of the best Cary, NC, neighborhoods in the region. It is located East of HWY 540 and West of 54, and so is in close proximity to neighboring amenities by car.

The neighborhood of Carpenter Village is a 24-minute drive from Raleigh, a 20-minute drive from Durham, and a 26-minute drive from Chapel Hill. The adjacent neighborhoods of Magnolia, Heritage Pines, and Preston are also known to be some of the best Cary, NC, neighborhoods.

Amenities

The Carpenter Village of Cary NC neighborhood has it all! The beautiful community lake and natural park area provide a scenic escape as well as walking trails, and a gazebo overlooking its tranquil waters. Nearby are tennis courts (and even more fun events), a volleyball court – so you can get your workout while staying in shape —even if the weather isn’t perfect for swimwear season… A large pool offers lap swimming along with sun deck space to relax on when hot summer days arrive. Events throughout the year such as Easter Egg hunts, Book Clubs, Lawn Concerts St. Patrick’s Day beer Tasting, or Breakfast With Santa make this place fun for everyone!

The History of Carpenter Village, NC

Carpenter Village is one of the longest-standing regions of Cary. Before Cary grew to be a large town, it was a collection of small villages, one of which was named Carpenter after a local family that moved their store there in 1895. The development of the railroad locally meant that the store was incredibly successful, and it is the historical nature of the neighborhood that makes it a favorite amongst those moving to Cary NC.

There are a wide variety of homes available in Carpenter Village, because of its well-established nature. There is a mix of townhomes, large single-family homes, and condos, so a range to suit all budgets. The proximity of some of the best Cary greenways is another reason why residents love living in Carpenter Village.

Restaurants and Food near Carpenter Village, NC

BlueFox Indian Cuisine is located in Carpenter Village and is a favorite of the residents. Just down the road, on the intersection of Morrisville-Carpenter Road and Davis Dr, there is a huge variety of restaurants, including a Taco Bell, Dairy Queen, MacDonald’s, Pizza Hut, Mi Cancun(one of my favorites,)  and many more.

From Chinese to Mexican and Italian to Vietnamese, there’s something for everyone… and all of this within a few minutes drive from Carpenter Village!

Shopping in Carpenter Village, NC

There are numerous shops located at the Davis Commons Shopping Center at the same intersection of Morrisville-Carpenter Road and Davis Dr. Located here are Walgreens, Walmart, and CVS, along with many other options. Wegmans is off of Davis Dr, minutes from Carpenter Village, one of my all-time favorites. (Have video footage of Wegmans)

Schools in Carpenter Village, NC

The base schools for Carpenter Village, one of the best Cary, NC, neighborhoods, are Carpenter Elementary School, Davis Drive Middle School, and Green Hope High School. Those moving to Cary with families will experience some of the best schools in the state.

Hospitals in Carpenter Village, NC

The most highly-rated hospital near Carpenter Village is WakeMed Cary Hospital, which serves as the main hospital for this region of Cary, NC. It is just a 14-minute drive from Carpenter Village. Other hospitals in the area include the Duke Raleigh Hospital, WakeMed Apex Healthplex and Rex Healthcare.

Cary Greenways in Carpenter Village, NC

There are numerous beautiful Cary greenways in Carpenter Village, which is one of the reasons it is so popular with those moving to Cary, and has earned its title as one of the best Cary, NC, neighborhoods. The most local green space is Carpenter Park, and some of the local trails include the Batchellor Branch Greenway, Grace Park Greenway and Weston Park Greenway.
