The real estate housing market in North Carolina is HOT. A lot of people are talking about a housing crash, but what we are seeing on our end is that with all the big companies coming to the area, more and more jobs and opportunities are created, especially for the Greater Triangle Area.
Homes are appreciating every month, and supply is still very low.
As you probably heard, Zillow’s prediction for the Raleigh market has made the news, and if they are correct, Raleigh is #3 hottest real estate city in the USA. That being said, we can expect more and more traffic here, and definitely a thriving area, both economically and culturally.
A lot of people are moving to North Carolina because they can still afford a medium price point of under $500,000. But this might change fast, and with relocating home buyers from Ca, NY and NJ that are bringing the cash, a lot of home buyers feel that they need to rent. But do they?
The market forecast is showing that housing nationwide will remain strong in 2022, but not as strong as 2021. Demand may be slightly softer due to a rise in interest rates, but still robust.
Supply will increase but remain tight. No labor, supply chain disruptions, and semiconductor shortages will play a role.
Rents will continue to rise, pushing many people to see the benefit of buying.
Rates will probably increase with inflation during the first part of the year but hopefully might decrease by the second half of 2022.
