What kind of solar are we talking about?
There are generally two type of solar panels:
a. Solar hot water – this just basically heats water and,
b. Solar electric panels
When were the solar panels installed?
What kind of material did they use?
What kind of method did they use to install the solar panels?
When was the roof replaced? Before, around or after the solar panels were installed?
MAINTENANCE
Maintenance is easy for solar because you don’t have any moving parts. Yeey! So, you don’t really have to worry about it unless you have batteries.
