Raleigh, named after Sir Walter Raleigh, famous English poet, soldier and adventurer, is the capital of the North Carolina State. After Charlotte, it is the second largest city in North Carolina. North Carolina State University, Meredith College and Strayer University are some of its more popular universities.
As you can tell, education is a big part of Raleigh. Based on the percentage of residents who had college degrees, Raleigh was ranked the third most educated city in the US in 2011 by Time magazine. In 2017, it was ranked the second most educated city in the US by Forbes Magazine with over 49% of adults receiving education.
